Tafelbabies - Babies react instinctively to music so in our interactive classes, with your baby, you discover the pleasures and benefits that music provides by participating in the fun of listening and moving to music by using activity songs, stimulating movement songs, peek-a-boos, finger plays, knee rides, tapping/clapping, use of percussion instruments, massage rhymes, lullabies, floor and lap games, action songs and dances that stimulate your baby's natural response to music. Parents gather information each week and learn activities to share in class and use at home. This will encourage listening, language skills, co-ordination, memory, concentration, self-expression, confidence building and social awareness.

Tafelmusik Children's Workshops - As your child develops they will naturally move on to the children's music workshops. The aim of the workshops is to equip a child with basic musical skills that will enable them, if they so desire, to go on to learn to play a musical instrument successfully. The workshops are presented in a friendly, informal manner and the emphasis is upon enjoyment. In each workshop children discover the language of music through games, singing, movement and playing their very own kit of untuned percussion instruments, glockenspiel and chime bars. The curriculum builds skills and knowledge while the children enjoy making music. A typical workshop consists of action songs, movement, rhythmic games, ‘kit' activities, glockenspiel and chimebar work, listening to music, composing, improvising, musical story time, worksheets and ‘reading' activities.

Junior Keyclub - Mozart Mouse and Beethoven Bear are always on hand to show the children what to do. The course provides a balance between the discipline necessary to play the piano and the enjoyment one receives from the process of music making. The course is written to provide appropriate piano instruction from the age of four. Singing and listening skills are developed simultaneously with an appreciation for a variety of musical styles. An excellent, fun way to introduce your child to instrumental skills before the formality of individual lessons.

Kids' Ukulele - The ukulele is a great little instrument that has enjoyed a surge in popularity recently. It is an instrument that is versatile and adaptable. It is inexpensive and relatively easy to learn and suitable for all kinds of music. It is an instrument that even small hands can cope with.

Kids' Drumming - This group course teaches rhythms and songs on a variety of drums and sound sources, including many objects that can be found at home. A clever, classical dog, one cool cat, and a friendly alligator guide you through the course and provide a good foundation and understanding of certain basic rhythms, counting, drum rudiments, musical terms, form and notation, improvisation, co-ordination and ensemble playing.

Individual Tuition - Offers one-to-one tuition on violin, piano, keyboard, guitar, ukulele, and recorder, and although a high standard of tuition is offered, it is of paramount importance that music is fun. The atmosphere is friendly and informal and all pupils are given the opportunity to play in concerts. Pupils are encouraged to take music examinations although those who wish to play ‘just for fun' are also welcome.
